Nicholas Rossler is a guitarist from Toledo, Ohio. They began playing guitar at the age of fourteen, inspired by blues musicians such as B.B. King and their first teacher, local guitarist Jeff Williams. As a teenager, Nicholas was exposed to jazz music, and ultimately decided to pursue this interest at the collegiate level, eventually completing a Bachelor of Music degree at Bowling Green State University, before going on to earn a master’s degree in Jazz Studies at Michigan State University. Nicholas has worked as an instructor at Bluffton University, as well as several private studios. They regularly perform with their eponymous jazz trio and as a sideman to a number of artists. Nicholas embraces an openminded musical philosophy, exploring a wide array of both traditional and avant-garde sounds, with an emphasis on improvisation. Outside of performing, practicing, and teaching, Nicholas enjoys reading, longboarding, and writing poetry.
